In the Garden

First off, I’d like to say thanks to those who have been checking out this blog! My internet has been on and off since Sandy, but thankfully it started working again a couple minutes ago.

For the last couple years we have made it a tradition to go see the Sakura Matsuri Festival in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. This year was not so pretty, though. Mainly because we waited too long and by the time we took the day to go see it, all the Cherry Blossoms had already blossomed. But, we were able to take a tour of the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden which was very interesting.  The pictures below are of that garden. Enjoy!

Here is the front of the garden. The tour took you along a path that went around the whole pond. Pretty much every photo following will be different angles of this same pond.

This was my first time using expired Fuji film and I really like the grainy effect that these pictures have.

Again the grain is pretty apparent in this one.

There were some very pretty Wisteria flowers draping over this observatory of sorts. You can see them a bit in the upper left corner.

I love how you can see the reflections of the trees in the water.

  Saved my favorite for last.

Thanks for looking!
